Stolen goods worth over 162.2 million rupees handed over to 599 owners.
Punjab Police Hafizabad has successfully recovered stolen property worth millions of rupees and returned it to its rightful owners. According to spokesperson for Punjab Police, goods worth over 162.2 million rupees were returned to 599 owners. The recovered items include more than 33.1 million rupees in cash, over 20 tolas of gold jewelry, and four tractors. Additionally, one jeep, 181 motorcycles, 10 rickshaws, and 73 mobile phones were returned to their original owners. The spokesperson also shared the recovery of 47 electric motors, 33 solar panels, and 80 livestock, all of which were returned to their rightful owners. In another significant development, 648 individuals were arrested for illegal possession of firearms, with 505 cases registered. Among the recovered weapons were 20 Kalashnikovs, 373 pistols, 5 repeaters, 22 shotguns, 35 rifles, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Under the leadership of DPO Hafizabad, Faisal Gulzar, police apprehended more than 234 criminals from 53 gangs involved in theft and robbery. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commended Hafizabad Police for their exceptional performance, while the owners of the recovered stolen goods praised DPO Faisal Gulzar and his team for their dedication and hard work.
