Tahir Rai appointed IGP Railways

Before new appointment, Tahir Rai, who is a Grade-21 officer, served as National Police Bureau’s director general

ISLAMABAD: Appointments and transfers have been made in the federal bureaucracy.

Muhammad Tahir Rai has been appointed IG Pakistan Railways Police. His predecessor Sardar Ali Khan will retire today (Thursday).

Before the new appointment, Tahir Rai, a Grade-21 officer, was Director General, National Police Bureau. He will assume the charge as IG Railways Police tomorrow (Friday).

Deputy Secretary Shafqat Abbas has been transferred from Economic Affairs Division to Ministry of National Food Security, while Deputy Secretary Ali Qasim from the Ministry of National Food Security to Industries and Production Division. Niaz Muhammad, awaiting appointment, has been posted as Deputy Secretary Finance Division.

Meanwhile, the CDA administration has posted Dr Anam Fatima, Grade-18 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, as Director Municipal Administration. Ijazul Hassan, awaiting appointment, has been posted as Assistant Director Environment.
