Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, along with Secretary Communication and Works Department, Punjab, Sohail Ashraf, visited ongoing construction projects. According to the details, during the visit, IG Punjab inspected various sections of the under-construction Smart Police Station Islam Pura and Safe Cities Women’s Hostel, Qurban Lines. IG Punjab and Secretary C&W reviewed the progress of construction work at the Smart Police Station and Women’s Hostel. On this occasion, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the state-of-the-art Safe Cities Women’s Hostel is a magnificent gift for female police officers and personnel from Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He mentioned that the two-story Safe Cities Women’s Hostel, which is under construction with 204 beds, will include a daycare center, mess, library and game area. He further said that the 22 Smart Police Stations being built in densely populated areas of Lahore are in the final stages of completion. Additionally, IG Punjab directed that the modernly designed multipurpose Smart Police Stations be completed as soon as possible, adding that 39 Smart Police Stations are being constructed in densely populated areas of the province on 1 to 2 kanal plots. All Smart Police Stations will be functional according to the Special Initiative Police Station Protocols and SOPs. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar praised the full cooperation of the Punjab Communication and Works Department in the police infrastructure development projects. On this occasion, SSP Admin Lahore Atif Nazir, along with relevant officers from the Police and Communication and Works Department, were also present.
