Punjab Police Hafizabad has successfully recovered stolen property worth millions of rupees and returned it to its rightful owners. According to spokesperson for Punjab Police, goods worth over 162.2 million rupees were returned to 599 owners. The recovered items include more than 33.1 million rupees in cash, over 20 tolas of gold jewelry, and four tractors. Additionally, one jeep, 181 motorcycles, 10 rickshaws, and 73 mobile phones were returned to their original owners. The spokesperson also shared the recovery of 47 electric motors, 33 solar panels, and 80 livestock, all of which were returned to their rightful owners. In another significant development, 648 individuals were arrested for illegal possession of firearms, with 505 cases registered. Among the recovered weapons were 20 Kalashnikovs, 373 pistols, 5 repeaters, 22 shotguns, 35 rifles, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. Under the leadership of DPO Hafizabad, Faisal Gulzar, police apprehended more than 234 criminals from 53 gangs involved in theft and robbery. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commended Hafizabad Police for their exceptional performance, while the owners of the recovered stolen goods praised DPO Faisal Gulzar and his team for their dedication and hard work.

On this occasion, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the state-of-the-art Safe Cities Women’s Hostel is a magnificent gift for female police officers and personnel from Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He mentioned that the two-story Safe Cities Women’s Hostel, which is under construction with 204 beds, will include a daycare center, mess, library and game area. He further said that the 22 Smart Police Stations being built in densely populated areas of Lahore are in the final stages of completion. Additionally, IG Punjab directed that the modernly designed multipurpose Smart Police Stations be completed as soon as possible, adding that 39 Smart Police Stations are being constructed in densely populated areas of the province on 1 to 2 kanal plots. All Smart Police Stations will be functional according to the Special Initiative Police Station Protocols and SOPs. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar praised the full cooperation of the Punjab Communication and Works Department in the police infrastructure development projects. Hitman killed in Lahore police ‘encounter’
The suspected outlaw had become a sign of terror in Punjab
LAHORE, Model Town Organised Crime Unit claimed that an outlaw who had become a symbol of terror in Punjab was killed in the firing of his own accomplices during an alleged encounter with police here on Tuesday.
The suspect identified as Rafiq alias Phaki was involved in dozens of case of abduction for ransom, murder, attempted murder, robbery and other heinous crimes.
According to police, the outlaw was a hired assassin and involved in many cases on murder. The accused had killed six persons in Rehman Garden a few years ago.
He also murdered a citizen in Shiekhupura in a cold blood and demanded Rs2.5million from the family of the deceased to return them his body. When they failed to give him the demanded amount, he threw the dead body in a canal.
According to police, he was being taken for recovery when his accomplices attacked the police to get him released. In the shootouts with the police, the outlaw was killed in the firing of his own accomplices.
In the firing, a police van was badly damaged. The outlaws escaped after the firing. Police launched a manhunt for the fleeing robbers.
Women constables posted as Muharars in Mansehra
MANSEHRA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police on Tuesday posted female constables as Muharars in nine out of 17 police stations in the district to provide a friendly environment for women complainants to lodge cases.
“We are introducing a modern policing system aimed at ending all forms of gender-based violence and providing women complainants with an environment where they can lodge their FIRs without any social barriers,” Shafiullah Khan Gandapur, the District Police Officer (DPO), told a function attended by the newly posted female constable Muharars.
The Superintendent of Police (Central), Rashim Jehangir, was also in attendance.The DPO said that female constables will soon be posted as Muharars in the remaining police stations in the district. “Cases of cybercrime against women are on the rise, but many women are reluctant to come forward and lodge complaints. However, the situation has changed with the posting of female constables as Muharars,” he said.
He directed the station house officers of all police stations to extend full support and cooperation to the newly posted female constable Muharars so that they could better serve the women complainants.
Meanwhile, Deputy Inspector General of Police Hazara, Nasir Mehmood Satti made the appointment as sub-inspectors of two youths whose fathers were martyred in the line of duty.A press release issued here stated that Saif Sajid and Mubashar Khan were appointed under the son quota of Sajid Khan and Chanzeb, who were martyred while fighting terrorism.According to the press release, IGP Akhtar Hayat Khan Gandapur recently increased the employment quota for the sons of martyrs from five percent to 12.5 percent.
Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz Actively Providing Digital Services to the Citizens
In the first 13 days of the year, more than 156,000 citizens have availed police services from Khidmat Marakaz.
Under the directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, police Khidmat Marakaz across the province are actively engaged in providing digital services to citizens. Spokesperson for Punjab Police shared that over 156,000 citizens utilized services from these centers in the first 13 days of this year. Spokesperson shared that 83,000 citizens underwent general police verification, while over 36,000 obtained police character certificates. Additionally, over 18,000 citizens registered tenancy agreements. Medical-legal certificates were issued to more than 4,000 citizens, and under initiatives for vulnerable groups, legal and social protection was provided to over 4,700 individuals.
Furthermore, the spokesperson highlighted that over 1,500 citizens availed vehicle verification services, 3,100 registered missing documents, and 175 filed crime reports. Copies of FIRs were provided to over 4,600 citizens, while three cases of violence against women were registered. Additionally, 567 citizens registered employees through the ROPE system, and 27 citizens verified private employees with the police. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that these Khidmat Marakaz are a flagship project of public service delivery, providing 24/7 facilities. Millions of citizens, including those from Lahore and across the province, benefit from the services of police Khidmat Marakaz monthly. He added that, based on citizen feedback, the services are being further upgraded accordingly.

IGP orders resolving police officials’ issues
LAHORE:The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Punjab, Tuesday met with cops and their families at the Central Police Office (CPO). The IGP listened to their concerns and asked authorities to attend their issues. He forwarded the plea of the widow of Shaheed ASI Basharat Ali to DIG Establishment-II, the request of DSP Yousaf Haroon to Additional IG Special Branch, the plea of Constable Muhammad Idrees to relevant officers and request of Constable Faqeer Hussain to the DIG IT. Meanwhile, the IGP convened a meeting with inspectors from Lahore and other districts at the CPO to discuss their promotion issues. During the meeting, the inspectors highlighted challenges faced by them in the process of their promotions.
